Variation in some quantitative characters of buckwheat in successive generations after treatment of the grain with mutagens

Variation in some quantitative characters of buckwheat in successive generations after treatment of the grain with mutagens

4 i S"ezd genetikov i selektsionerov Ukrainy, Odessa, 1981 Tez dokl, 1: 25-27

When grain of Viktoriya was treated with 0.025 and 0.012% N-nitroso-N-ethylurea (NEU), 0.02, 0.01 and 0.005% N-nitroso-N-methylurea (NMU), ethyleneimine and dimethyl sulphate, and also 0.1 and 0.05% 1,4-bisdiazoacetylbutane (DAB), useful mutants with increased values for yield components were obtained in the M2 and M3, especially following treatment with NMU and DAB.
