Variation in the expression of specificity in two maize diseases

Variation in the expression of specificity in two maize diseases

Euphytica 31(2): 269-279

Ten inbred lines from the open-pollinated variety Jarvis were selected from 51 randomly collected lines to represent a wide range of susceptibility to 1 isolate each of Bipolaris maydis (Cochliobolus heterostrophus) or Colletotrichum graminicola. Ten isolates of each pathogen were selected from a range of virulence on a maize line with av. resistance.
