In this survey, it is pointed out that in most countries P. graminis populations have developed virulence in relation to oat plants carrying the resistance genes Pg2, Pg3, Pg4, pg8, pg9 and pg12; only resistance conditioned by pg11 and pg13 has proved effective in many of the areas studied. Analyses of the racial composition of P. graminis on oats showed that the composition of the pathogen changed over a period of 4-5 years.
