Variation in wild oat

Variation in wild oat

Proceedings North Central Weed Control Conference, 1979 (Vol. 34): 50-51

Trifluralin at 0.5 and 1 lb/acre, atrazine at 2 and 4 lb/acre pre-em. and EPTC at 2 and 3 lb/acre were applied in a glasshouse experiment to wild oat lines, some of which were resistant and others susceptible to diclofop, difenzoquat or MSMA. All proved susceptible. In a field experiment no differences in morphological characteristics (leaf length and width, number of tillers, growth rate, pubescence) were observed in lines susceptible or resistant to diclofop, difenzoquat, MSMA or flamprop.
