Variation of chemical composition and nutritive value of dried samples of garbage

Variation of chemical composition and nutritive value of dried samples of garbage

Japanese Poultry Science 18(3): 145-150

The chemical composition and nutritive value for chicks 8 days old of 11 samples of garbage were determined. A sample without leftover rice from restaurants in a big hotel, A1, had crude protein 31.6, nitrogen-free extract 24.3% and gross energy 4.35 kcal/g. Another sample from the hotel, A2 prepared from a mixture of equal amounts of A1 and rice, had 20.0, 45.1 and 4.12, respectively.
