Variation of some characters in crossbreds compared with linebred fowls

Variation of some characters in crossbreds compared with linebred fowls

Trudy Stavropol' skogo Nauchno Issledovatel' skogo Instituta Sel' skogo Khozyaistva 45: 125-132

Data were obtained on pedigree flocks of Russian White fowls (line 2462) and Yantar fowls (lines A, B and C). There was a negative linear relationship between av. egg production in different generations and the standard deviation of egg production. Linecrossing and incrossing resulted in an increase in egg production and a decrease in the standard deviation.
