Variations in milk composition during 1 year with particular regard to protein

During 1975-1981, cows' milk samples collected monthly at 12 Slovenian dairy factories, handling about 90% of the dairy milk supplies in the Republic, were analysed; the number of samples ranged from 96 to 328 depending on the quantity of milk received at the factory. Results for protein, milk fat and SNF contents are tabulated and variations are discussed in relation to breed and season, with particular reference to protein content.
