Variations in stigma position and stigmatic beard in winged bean (Psophocarpus tetragonolobus)

Stigma position has been observed to be downward (facing the anthers), horizontal, and upward (avoiding the anthers). The length of the stigmatic side beard varied from one to two times as great as the stigma diameter whilst that of the lower beard varied from one to four times as great as the stigma diameter.
