Varietal behaviour in relation to summer season tomato cultivation

Varietal behaviour in relation to summer season tomato cultivation

Haryana Journal of Horticultural Sciences 10(1/2): 102-106

In 2-year trials 10 tomato cvs were planted on different dates between March and June to create 5 different growing environments. The ambient temperatures ranged from 9.9 to 35.2 deg C. The most resistant to adverse growing conditions was HS-102 followed by HS-101, Pusa Ruby and Kalyanpur Angurlata; the mean yields for all environmental conditions in these cvs were 270.5, 166.5, 172.9 and 120.5 q/ha, respectively.
