Varietal differences and genetic behaviour for the photoperiodic response in soybeans

In trials at Shanhua, Taiwan, soyabean were screened for sensitivity to daylength and temp. Daylength always had a greater effect on flowering than temp., and less sensitive to daylength were always less sensitive to temp. In trials in Kyushu, Japan, 18 photoinsensitive were divided into the stable determinant growth type and the temp.-dependent determinant growth type.
