Varietal differences in germination of rice seeds collected from the plants grown under saline and non-saline irrigation water

7 photoperiod sensitive winter rice were grown during the wet season with or without saline irrigation at Gosaba, West Bengal. Viability and germination were reduced in seeds collected from saline-irrigated plots. Seed viability was highest in April/May then declined except in Matla in which it was highest in July.
