Potted plants of five varieties were treated with 5 p.p.m. Zn, Cu and Fe or were left untreated. The order of decreasing resistance to Zn deficiency, in terms of dry matter yield, was as follows: Basmati 370 > Jhona 349 > IR6 > IR8 > EF29.
