Varietal variations in growth, yield and quality of fruit in sub-tropical peach (Prunus persica Batsch) cultivars

A study of 11 varieties, reported to be of peach, showed that, on the basis of tree height, spread and volume, Australian Dwarf, Golden Treasure, Peach Dwarf and June Gold were dwarf, Pishori Gola, Nectarine Sunred, Safeda, Matchless, Sharbati and Floradsun were vigorous and Chakli was less vigorous than the last six varieties. Sharbatt, Safeda, Floradsun and Nectarine Sunred gave high mean fruit yields over three years (48.35 - 68.50 kg/tree).
