World distribution of the mite Varroa jacobsoni, a parasite of honeybees

Bee World 62(4): 154-163

The results are given of a world survey by acarologists. A table lists the 83 countries to which questionnaires were sent, with the replies received (negative, positive, no reply). The information acquired has been incorporated into a distribution map which shows countries in which the presence of V. jacobsoni is established or suspected, and in which it is absent (in February 1981).
