A contribution to the study of bud behaviour in 'Abbassi' table grape cultivar trained to different training systems under 'Basrah' conditions

A contribution to the study of bud behaviour in 'Abbassi' table grape cultivar trained to different training systems under 'Basrah' conditions

Mesopotamia Journal of Agriculture 16(2): 101-114

ISSN/ISBN: 0379-7791

In 2-year trials 7-year-old Abbassi grapevines, trained on the cane or head system, were pruned to leave 58 buds/vine. Data are tabulated on the average number of burst buds/vine, average number of bearing shoots/vine, percentage bud burst, percentage of bearing shoots, number of bunches/vine, fertility coefficient, and the average number of sprouted shoots/bud. There were no significant differences in these indices.
