A good night out. Popular theatre: audience, class and form

A good night out. Popular theatre: audience, class and form

A good night out Popular theatre: audience, class and form: 126

The book contains six talks given by the author to a seminar in Cambridge, UK in 1979. They look at the different ways different classes take their entertainment. After a consideration of political theatre in the twenties and thirties, contemporary writing for the theatre is examined in order to reach a definition of truly working class theatre.
