A high potency ester of a carboxylic acid herbicide

A high potency ester of a carboxylic acid herbicide

Proceedings North Central Weed Control Conference, 1981 (Volume 36): 26-27

Ethylene glycol bis esters of carboxylic acid herbicides were synthesized and tested in the greenhouse for herbicidal activity. Studies with this ester of 2,4-D indicate that these lipophilic compounds can have low volatility, good cuticular penetration and herbicidal activity and a high percentage of the biologically active moiety.
