A late top dressing of rice with nitrogen for accelerating maturation and increasing yield

Application of a foliar spray of 20% N fertilizer (urea or ammonium sulphate) + 0.01% 2,4-D at the beginning of the milk- to wax-ripe stage accelerated maturation, decreased grain m.c. and increased the paddy yield and germination percentage of the seeds.
