Proceedings North Central Weed Control Conference, 1981 (Volume 36): 24-25
1981
Autumn sown wheat and spring sown winter rye were compared as living mulches in soyabean crops. With wheat, weed counts were higher when the mulch crop was suppressed with mefluidide than where mowing was used, but weed heights were the same. With the rye, weed counts were similar in the mulch treatments and the weedy control but weeds were shorter in the mulch treatments.
