A logical model for forecasting phases of the population dynamics of the meadow moth

A logical model for forecasting phases of the population dynamics of the meadow moth

Proceedings of the All Union Research Institute for Plant Protection Ecological and physiological preconditions for a modern system of control of the meadow moth: recd 1982; 42-68

On the basis of an analysis of data from the USSR from 1925 to 1979, the role of climatic factors in the population dynamics of Loxostege sticticalis (L.) is evaluated. A logical model for predicting phases of the population dynamics of the pest is presented, which takes into account the critical periods in its life-cycle, the fundamental importance of weather conditions and the intensification of agricultural production.
