A marine horsehair worm, Nectonema sp., parasitizing atelecyclid crab, Erimacrus isenbeckii, from Hokkaido, Japan

Japanese Journal of Veterinary Research 31(2): 65-69

From one to 6 Nectonema were found in 4 specimens of E. isenbeckii collected at Kushiro, Hokkaido, between 1973 and 1979. The worms were under the carapace of the crabs. The estimated average length of males was 27 cm and of females 49 cm; all were apparently juveniles.
