A mathematical model for the production of maize silage

A deterministic mathematical model for simulating maize ensilage was developed in Minas Gerais. All combinations of 6, 8 or 10 men harvesting maize manually over 5 ha and 2,4 or 6 men mechanically transporting and manually unloading the cut material in 2, 3, 4 or 5 wagons of either 10 or 12 m3 were studied.
