A mechanism for biological denitrification in aerated lagoon system

A mechanism for biological denitrification in aerated lagoon system

XXI International Dairy Congress Vol 1, Book 2: 590-591

An aerated lagoon, with control of input COD, is kept at constant biomass level with dissolved oxygen between 2 and 7 p.p.m. The BOD and a large proportion of nitrogen from original waste are removed, and no excess sludge is produced.
