A method for mapping natural environments in eastern Senegal. Evaluation of the possibilities of integrating agroforestry and livestock production

The preparation of a 1:500 000 map to illustrate the potential for integrated agroforestry and livestock production in E. Senegal is described. Environmental potential depended on a range of factors including soils, topography, vegetation and water supply, the relative importance of each factor varying from 1 region to another.
