A method of agroclimatic analysis for the timing of cultural cycles in the inter-tropics zone

A method is described for determination of opt. sowing date for an annual crop on the basis of water availability studied by reference to rainfall distribution and plant water balance data over a number of years. A sowing date is thus proposed when the most critical stages of plant development will coincide with probable periods of adequate water supply.
