A method of reducing the dynamic errors of hygrometers

Selskostopanska Tehnika 20(1): 89-99

The time constants of the wet and dry bulb thermometers of hygrometers and their dependence on the parameters of a controlled environment and instrument design were evaluated. A method is proposed of approximately balancing the two time constants of the thermometers by altering the velocity of the air currents flowing round them. This method reduces dynamic error and increases the speed of operation.
