A method to identify and rank critical manure management areas

A method to identify and rank critical manure management areas

ASAE Paper (81-2582): 19

Soils receiving long-term manure runoff are exceptionally high in available phosphorus and potassium. A distinct nutrient gradient develops in waterway soils downstream from barnyards. Soil data in conjunction with watershed characteristics show potential for identifying and ranking critical manure management areas.
