A mobile hop picking machine, from the economic aspect

Hopfen Rundschau 33(19): 412-417

A self-propelled hop picking machine was tested. The machine cuts the hop bines, separates the cones from leaves and bines, gathers the cones into a bin and chops up the leaves and bines and spreads them on the ground. With 3 operators the machine harvests 410 hop plants/h or 1 ha/day.
