A model for the elimination of insecticide resistance using heterozygous disadvantage

The author points out that population genetics theory provides a mechanism whereby the spread of resistance to insecticides in a given species could be reversed. This could arise if the heterozygotes in a population heterogeneous for resistance were put at a disadvantage compared with both homozygotes.
