A model for the evaluation of teaching materials

Too often, simple, operational check-lists have been used in selecting teaching materials, with educational establishments basing their decisions on purely descriptive information. Having posed this problem, the article first discusses the concepts of evaluation and evaluation of teaching materials and describes how they have been developed and modified at different times.
