A model to analyse the export grain transportation system

A model to analyse the export grain transportation system

Dissertation Abstracts International, A 43(3): p.876

The study develops a research tool to analyze the effect of modifications or shocks to the export grain transport system. The model is then used to analyze the effect of multiple car shipments on the efficiency of export grain transport. A multicommodity, multiperiod, cost-minimizing spatial model is developed, which links US surplus grain and soyabeans producing regions to domestic demand and foreign demand locations.
