A national network of food distribution centres still has a long way to go

A national network of food distribution centres still has a long way to go

Andelsbladet 84(2): 34-37

The article considers the "teething troubles" which have surrounded the establishment of the first two centralized farm produce marketing centres in Denmark, following the 1979 decision to set up a national network of such centres. It is difficult at present to see any possibility of their being profitable in the short term whilst there is little incentive for the merchants to join the proposed system.
