A new agrotechnique for increasing cotton yield, water saving and double cropping by using drip irrigation

A new agrotechnique for increasing cotton yield, water saving and double cropping by using drip irrigation

Hassadeh 63(7): 1516-1518

A new agrotechnique for growing cotton, based on daily drip irrigation from germination onwards enabled high cotton yield, short growth period, double cropping of cotton and wheat and improved water use efficiency. A yield of 710 kg seed cotton/dunam was achieved for cotton sown at the end of May; commercial single cropped fields grown by the conventional drip irrigation technique and sown during the opt. period in the 1st wk of April yielded 500 kg seed cotton/dunam.
