A new chickpea cv. Plovdiv 8



Rasteniev' ' dni Nauki 18(6): 62-66



The new chickpea hybrid Plovdiv 8 gives seed yields 12.7% higher than Dobrudzhanski 6 and 7% higher than Stepnovoi 1, has larger seeds, is less susceptible to diseases, matures 8 days earlier and has taller stems with the lowermost pods borne relatively high which makes this suitable for direct combine harvesting.
