A new conjugate of dihydrophaseic acid from avocado fruit

A new conjugate of dihydrophaseic acid from avocado fruit

Agricultural and Biological Chemistry 47(2): 365-371

Dihydrophaseic acid-4'-O- beta -glucoside was isolated from avocado fruit. Base-hydrolyzable conjugates of ABA metabolites were also isolated from cherries, peaches, melons, tomatoes and oranges. Extracts of apple, Actinidia chinensis, citron, longan, pawpaw and Asimina triloba fruit did not release detectable amounts of ABA metabolites on alkaline hydrolysis.
