A new dwarfing, apple rootstock from West Germany

A new dwarfing, apple rootstock from West Germany

Compact Fruit Tree 16(May): 98

Jork 9, produced by open pollination of M.9, produces slightly larger trees than M.9. It was thus not suitable for Gloster trained as slender spindles but it was suitable for Jonagold with summer pruning. Jork 9 is very readily propagated and is fully compatible with six scion cvs so far tested.
