A new method for must density determination and classification of grape berries

Vitis 22(1): 15-22

The sugar degree of grape berries was determined by separation in defined solutions of different density. The method enabled the classification of a large number of berries according to their maturity. The efficiency of the method was proved by the determination of different berry maturity classes in 10 cvs at a given time and the values were comparable to data from refractometric determinations.
