A new natural hybrid of Oncidium Sw. from Bolivia

A new natural hybrid of Oncidium Sw. from Bolivia

American Orchid Society Bulletin 51(4): 388-390

A population of Oncidium near Santa Cruz was identified as being a natural hybrid between O. stacyi and O. jonesianum. The plants were similar to those of the Jason Fuchs which was obtained by artificially crossing these species. The hybrid, which is vegetatively intermediate between the parents, is epiphytic and pendent with racemes of up to 14 flowers.
