A new product for the control of Meloidogyne spp. on tobacco

Trials with AC 64.475 (cyclomethylene (diethoxyphosphinyl)-dithioiminocarbonate) against root-knot nematodes on tobacco (cv. Burley) are reported. The 4% granular formulation was used at 60 and 80 kg/ha, and the 20% liquid formulation at 12 and 17 kg/ha, corresponding in each case to doses of 2.4 and 3.4 kg active ingredient/ha. The nematicide was applied in May, 8 days before planting. Roots were examined for infection at the end of the growing season in early September.
