A new race of Colletotrichum trifolii on alfalfa in Oklahoma

A new race of Colletotrichum trifolii on alfalfa in Oklahoma

Plant Disease 66(10): 922-924

Pathogenicity of 1 Kans. (KS1) and 5 Okla. (OK1-OK5) isolates was compared with that of Pa. isolate PA1 (race 1) on lucerne in the glasshouse, based on seedling survival of 10 cultivars. OK3 and KS1 appeared to be race 1; no Okla. isolates were of race 2 since none was pathogenic on Arc, but 3 (OK1, OK2 and OK3) produced similar reactions, different from those of race 1, and are designated race 3.
