A new record of a parasitic flesh fly, Parasarcophaga knabi (Parker) (Sarcophagidae: Diptera) on the oak tasar silkworm

Journal of the Bombay Natural History Society 79(2): 435-436

Sarcophaga knabi Parker (Parasarcophaga knabi) was found infesting larvae of the silkworm hybrid known as Antheraea proylei Jolly in the remote hill forest belts of Manipur State, India. This is the first record of the sarcophagid in the region and of its parasitism of the silkworm there.
