A new sensitive and rapid procedure for the isolation of Yersinia enterocolitica from food, particularly from low calory food such as vegetables

A new sensitive and rapid procedure for the isolation of Yersinia enterocolitica from food, particularly from low calory food such as vegetables

Psychrotrophic microorganisms in spoilage and pathogenicity: 425-429

Recovery of Yersinia enterocolitica added to vegetables, meat, poultry and milk, was studied using a new enrichment medium (NPC) based on tryptic soya broth with added filter-sterilized novobiocin (20 mu g/ml), polymyxin-B sulphate (20 units/ml) and crystal violet (2.5 mu g/ml) and incubation at 18 deg C for 4 days.
