A new species of Tropilaelaps parasitic on honey bees



American Bee Journal 122(6): 416-417



The female, male, and protonymph of Tropilaelaps koenigerum n. sp. are described and illustrated. The mites were collected in brood combs of Apis dorsata in Sri Lanka. They are apparently parasitic on honeybees.
