A possible role for microtubules and microfilaments in the induction of nuclear division in bean rust uredospore germlings

Experimental Mycology 6(3): 293-302

A possible role for microtubules and microfilaments in the induction of nuclear division in bean rust uredospore germlings

Nuclear division was more frequent in urediospore germlings of Uromyces phaseoli from Phaseolus vulgaris on stimulation by heat shock or sonication, provided the spores were germinated on membranes. It also occurred on exposure to antimicrotubule and antimicrofilament drugs.
