A review of the collection of education statistics in the Sudan

Education statistics in the Sudan are at present at a crucial stage in their development. On the one hand, the establishment of regional statistics units in the five Northern Regions and the on-going efforts to improve data collection in the Southern Region gives ground for hope that a statistical infrastructure better adapted to the nation's planning needs will emerge in the near future.
