For 60 days from weaning male Spanca lambs were given a normal mixed diet based on maize, lucerne hay, maize cobs and soya bean oilmeal without or with urea, isobutylidene diurea, ammonia and urea phosphate (all labelled with 15N) to replace 37% of the crude protein in the original diet.
