An assessment of protein intake as a likely factor in the limitation of milk production by dairy cows grazing pasture

An assessment of protein intake as a likely factor in the limitation of milk production by dairy cows grazing pasture

Dairy production from pasture Macmillan, KL; Tanfa, VK Editors: 211-212

The assumption that milk production of cows grazing mixed pastures is limited by energy rather than protein intake is examined and conflicting evidence including calculation of digestible CP, responses to additional CP and limited supply of specific amino acids is discussed.
