An evaluation of pre-emergence herbicides on tulip and narcissus

An evaluation of pre-emergence herbicides on tulip and narcissus

Research Circular, Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center (268): 20-21

Eight herbicides were applied in late autumn to the Darwin hybrid tulip Apeldorn's Elite and the narcissus Campernelli Flore Pleno. Several herbicides controlled annual weed growth until June, but most were phytotoxic. Dacthal (12 lb/acre) caused only slight damage to tulips and Dacthal and Casoron (6 lb/acre) to narcissus.
