Analysis of the climate-water relationship of some crops to support timing and quantity of irrigation

Analysis of the climate-water relationship of some crops to support timing and quantity of irrigation

Turrialba 32(2): 155-159

In a field trial in 1979 at Apodaca, evapotranspiration/evaporation quotients (EEQ) were determined for (a) sorghum, (b) maize NLVS-1, (c) maize NLVS-1 dwarf, (c) sunflower and (e) Phaseolus vulgaris from early growth to maturity. EEQ increased linearly in the early growth stages of all crops and were highest at 40 to 80% development after which they decreased.
