Artificial insemination of indigenous goats with frozen semen following oestrus synchronisation with PGF2 alpha

Of 45 goats, aged 8-36 months and injected with 0.265 mg of a synthetic PG during the dry season, none exhibited oestrus. Of 30 goats, given the same treatment 34 days after the beginning of the rainy season, 8 exhibited oestrus 33.30-75 h after treatment and were inseminated; 5 of these goats kidded, producing 6 kids.
